State government declares holidays for schools due to strike

The State government has declared a holiday for schools on Mondy and Tuesday in lieu of the BMTC and KSRTC strike.The announcement was made by the Chief Minister's office. As many as 23,000 buses are likely to remain off roads, according to estimates by unions, as wage revision talks with the government did not succeed on Saturday.
